Photographic Recall
This book accompanies the exhibition Photographic Recall, which is the first to gather German artistic positions on Italy’s built environments of the era of fascism (1922-1945). It inquires about this architecture, called “rationalist,” its reception since the 1980s, and its implications for both countries’ collective historical and cultural narratives.
